Beagle cross
2 yeas old

Archie is a lovely, friendly dog but he can easily become worried/spooked in unfamiliar situations e.g. going to the vets, being handled by unfamiliar people, loud noises, sudden movements etc. Once Archie is given time to settle and gets to know you he is a very affectionate boy who loves lots fuss and attention! He is looking for an experienced owner who can offer him a steady, quiet home and carefully manage the nervous side of his character. Archie came in via Inspectors, we believe has spent most of his time in a crate till now. Social services advised for the dog to be rehomed as there were general issues with the family not being able to look after themselves let alone a dog. Achie has found kennel life quite stressful, but is now starting to settle and feeling more comfortable. He can become worried in unfamiliar situations and easily gets spooked by sudden noises and movements, he will need time and the correct management to help him settle in a new home. He could potentially be re-homed with another dog. He gets very excited when he sees other dogs, but ultimately just wants to play with them. Archie would also benefit from some basic training in his new home. He is looking for an adult only home. For more information about Archie and his re-homing requirements please call the animal centre on 01246 273358.
