Meet Basil and Bay leaf, two very handsome fellas. They were rescued by the RSPCA when eight rabbits were found dumped in a cage, sadly four had to be euthanized under welfare grounds. They were underweight and Bay leaf in particular had quite bad hair loss we suspect from being attacked by other rabbits, he had a bite that has just about healed. Both have been microchipped, neutered and vaccinated.  It seems Basil is the more confident one and Bay leaf is quite shy. They enjoy their food and will come for a nosey when you open their hutch. They are still very timid so will need gentle encouragement with food to become more confident with people. They have been fine around dogs and cats and don’t seem frightened of them. They are both Lion heads and although Bay leaf doesn’t have much of a mane yet this seems to be growing back.
Due to them being timid they won’t suit young children who normally just want to pick up and cuddle.

Housing requirement is a ‘minimum’ sized 6x2x2ft hutch with a minimum ‘attached’ 8x4ft run plus freedom to a secure garden/alternative area for stimulation. Please watch this video on why we ask for minimum sized hutch/run:
