Fosterer update 5th January
We cannot believe this beautiful pair of cats are still
with us. They are now 5 months old (10 weeks when they arrived Oct 2011).
Yes Momo in particular is very timid of strangers but as with his fosterer
he will come around in time so any prospective adopters need to look past
his timidness when visiting because he will relax over time when he is in a
new home.
We are the RSPCA therefore do deal with neglected, abandoned and
abused cats and unfortunately some cats are affected by what's happened to
them in the past BUT patience, understanding and kindness will eventually
bring them round and in the end it'll be well worth it!
The ideal home for Momo & Sokka would be with a experienced
owner, no young children and someone with the time and patience
to build a trusting relationship.
Fosterer update 27th November
Sokka is the more confident while Momo is shy for this
reason we'd like to rehome
them together; Momo & Sokka are settling slowly. They
are a stunning pair, 80% white with black patches,
elegant long legs and amazing silky coats and stunning
almond shaped eyes. They play chase together
and chirrup as they play. They are coming out of their
shell. Sokka is always asking for a head
scratch and enjoys being stroked, though a little startled
when you stand-up. He clearly wants
to engage with you, esp. if you're offering some tasty
treat. Momo is the more timid,
however when they first ventured into the main part of
my house, he was the first to wander
through all the rooms and locate a scratch pole. In time
and with patience, taking it at
their pace there confidence will grow. They are good with
the litter tray, scratch pole.
They are truly a stunning pair of kittens and just need
a patient understanding family
to call their own.
Momo and Sokka
A kind member of public contacted us about seeing a stray kitten
as she passed the
race track in a remote part of Buxton.
One of our Trustees contacted the owners of the racetrack and
it turned out that
in fact there were 2 kittens and their mother that they had
been feeding.
Between them they managed to catch all 3 and take them to our
vets.
Momo and Sokka are the kittens of Katara, who is listed for
rehoming separately here.
The cats have been named after characters from the wonderful
film Avatar.
All cats have been tested negative for FIV/FELV, they have been
wormed,
flead, micro-chipped and started vaccinations.
When old enough we will cover the cost of the kittens
neutering which is mandatory.
Momo is the more confident while Sokka is the shy one.
For this reason we'd like to rehome the two boys together;
they were quite skittish but are relaxing.
