Estella Teddy Bear

Estella was hit by a car and the owners could not afford veterinary
care and asked if the RSPCA could take her in. The first couple
of photos show how extensive her injuries were; her knee cap was
knocked out and she had an infection so amputation was discussed
but thankfully her leg was saved. She was also 2kg's underweight
upon arrival. She was taken in by one of our wonderful fosterers
where she had cage rest and LOTS of TLC! Just look at her now!
Estella has been fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed/flead and
spayed. She had an xray; thankfully no fractures. She has now recovered
but may still have a sore hip from time to time; she has metacam
for this.
Estella has a beautiful temperament, she is so incredibly friendly
and affectionate. She is a small traditional Staffie. A few words
from her fosterer: Estella is perfect in the house; clean, quite
and welcoming to visitors. She watches people and dogs pass the
garden but never barks. She has been fantastic with Francine and
never has shown any aggression whatsoever, even when she was in
so much pain. She loves to snuggle up on the sofa in the evenings.
also, she likes to eat fresh fruit (apples and pears) and raw veg
whist I am preparing meals!
We've been advised that Estella is fine with other dogs but because
she's been on house rest for a few weeks we've not been able to
introduce her to other dogs. She is very strong on the lead and
needs some lead training, we recommend a harness.
Just look at that beautiful little face, how can anyone resist those
big puppy dog eyes!
