Elsa & Thumper – Harlequin cross Rabbits

Elsa & Thumper
Harlequin cross
3 years old
Arrived 3rd October
Rode Heath

These stunning sisters were found dumped, not together, but separately over a few days. Prior to this we knew they were being advertised for rehoming (Amanda who looks after the majority of our rabbits brought this all to our attention) so the owner was contacted, she said she had rehomed them to someone else but unfortunately could not provide proof of this. Perhaps it’s true that there is not a trail of communication/contact details/names of who was liased with and handed over the bunnies to. But we find this to be very odd. We got an Inspector to go to the previous owners property and had the girls signed over. BUT it’s a miracle that they were found safe and well and reunited! They are pretty scared, but we hope in time they will flourish, so an understanding home is required, we suspect they’ve had no handling, however they are not aggressive and they will come to the front of the pen when you approach with food which is a good sign! We have had them vaccinated and they will be micro chipped and neutered shortly. Housing requirement is a ‘minimum’ sized 6x2x2ft hutch/shed with a minimum ‘attached’ 10x4ft or 6x6ft or 8x4ft (depending on the size of rabbits) run and freedom to a secure garden/alternative area for stimulation. Please watch this video on why we ask for minimum sized hutch/run:
