Lilly & Florence – Guinea Pigs

Under 1 year old
Arrived 16th November, 2019
Fostered in Macclesfield

Lilly & Florence have come into our care via another branch who took in 30 piggies via the Inspectors; there were almost 90 in total that the RSPCA had to find spaces for, they were from the same animal hoarder, that’s aside from the multiple rabbits and kittens.

Lilly & Florence are super to watch when they come out of hiding, particularly when it’s feeding time! They are very timid but not naughty. They are such a sweet adorable pair!

They have been health checked by a vet. Lilly has intermittent arrhythmia and our vet (who has checked Lilly three times) advised we can rehome as it’s not affecting her health or behaviour. For this reason they’ll need an experienced Guinea Pig owner.

They will require a minimum 5ft x 2ft hutch or C&C or bespoke accommodation with a play area attached with plenty of enrichment. We do not rehome guinea pigs to live entirely in a hutch or cage as this does not provide sufficient space or enrichment to express their natural behaviour. Housing requirements and ideas can be found here (click.)
