Saturday 13th update: Marvin and Flower have now been brought into the boarding facility we use as the owners are now moving away. Such a shame this pair haven’t had any interest, they are so attractive, full of character and Mary is so affectionate.
Marvin was originally abandoned at Mere Moggies by his owner who left him there for boarding and gave fake details. Marvin was bonded and adopted 6 months ago but the current owners are now moving abroad, they are happy to keep the rabbits until we find a home. Flower was unwanted by a little girl because she was frightened of her and thus not well handled. She was also kept in a rodent hutch which was far too small. When they were put together they bonded immediately and you cannot imagine them being apart as they are like a pair of gloves. They adore each other and grooming each other is a regular occurrence. They love the freedom to run a round in the garden so would be good if they can be rehomed where it is safe to let them out for a run. Marvin jumps 4 foot in the air and they both sprint and skip around. Flower does tend to stay much closer to her home and will often be in there even if the doors are open. Marvin on the other hand loves to be out and about. They are not suitable to go to a home where they want to cuddle them as they are happy enough coming up to you and being in your presence without being picked up or handled as they both really do not like it so they would not suit children.
Minimum housing requirement is a 6x2x2ft hutch and an ‘attached’ 6x4ft run. Do not buy until you have checked that housing you are interested in meets the RSPCA’s requirements. Both are neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped.
