Please Read The Information Below Before Offering to Rehome Any of our Rabbits

Rabbits are the most forgotten pet in Britain; more often than not they are left in hutches on their own 24/7 for years, rarely cleaned, fed, watered and handled-this is cruelty. We are looking for dedicated and caring rabbit owners to ensure our rabbits do not become a statistic!

Are you aware that rabbits can easily become bored and need regular handling, grooming, toys for stimulation, access to the garden to run, jump and even burrow, a good and balanced diet including a constant supply of hay to live a healthy and happy life?

Conditions of adoption:

We are looking for life-long, permanent homes for our animals and we need to be sure you can provide such a home. This means we have to ask questions about your personal circumstances, including your ability to meet routine and emergency Vet bills, which will become solely your responsibility following adoption.

Ideally all members of the household must come and meet the rabbit/s before a rabbit can be reserved for you. We also require permission from the property owner where the rabbit will live. A home checker will need to visit you at home before you can adopt any rabbit.

As a minimum requirement we do not adopt rabbits out into hutches less than minimum of 6 x 2 x 2 feet - ideally with an attached run to allow the rabbits to exercise. Please note that these lengths may need to be bigger depending on the size and breed of rabbit.

You will also need a suitable exercise run or area for your rescue rabbit. We also encourage rabbits to be kept in the house to protect them against predators and severe weather conditions, however a shed would be fine.

We do not adopt rabbits out for breeding purposes. We do encourage that rabbits are kept in pairs or in groups therefore ideally we will only rehome one of our rabbits with a resident rabbit or a pair of our rabbits together.

Regardless of where the rabbit is housed they must be handled daily and allowed a break from the hutch. We may arrange to do a post adoption visit to see how your new rabbit is settling in Veterinary fees become the sole responsibility of the adopter once the rabbit has left the re-homing centre.

Adoption fees are:
£20 per Rabbit
£15 per Gunea Pig
This is generally not normally refundable.......................
.

This does not even cover half the cost to us of the mandatory vaccinations, worm, flea, micro-chipping and neutering of all rabbits in our care.
