Ovie had been kept in very dirty and hazardous conditions, also left on his own for 48 hours without any provisions made. The RSPCA has been to the property before so has history with the owner but things certainly did not improve. Despite this Ovie is very friendly and affectionate. Has lived with cats so perhaps with slow introductions he can live with a cat. He has lived with a dog in the past but took some time for them to get on, previous owner said he isn’t great with dogs but he’s mixed well with dogs he’s met at the centre. Via Greater Manchester Animal hospital Ovie has been neutered, micro chipped and vaccinated. Dennis is paid for by our branch but looked after by Chesterfield RSPCA as it’s far cheaper than private boarding at just £5 a day, which means we can help more dogs.
