8-9 weeks old as of 29/12/17
Arrived 19th December
Fostered in Scholar Green, Cheshire
Rocco came into RSPCA care with his mother: complaints were made about a homeless man with underweight dogs, so the RSPCA looked into the matter and the owner signed the dogs over. It’s fair to say some homeless people can look after their dogs but sadly some simply cannot provide adequately as was the case here. Rocco has been health checked, micro-chipped and vaccinated. He has a healing broken tail which does not need any operations. We will cover the cost of mandatory neutering when old enough, around 5-6 of age.
Rocco is an adorable poppet but boy is he a feisty little guy, already very clever and playful. He is fostered with two other dogs who don’t take kindly to his over zealous attention but he can be rehomed with another dog, however it has to be the right match as he’s like the proverbial annoying little brother!
All existing pets ideally should be neutered and vaccinated. A puppy really is for life and very demanding. They teeth for many months which mean they need to chew (and that includes human hands with needle sharp teeth!) and need copious amounts of attention and kind reward based training. You must be 100% certain a puppy is right for you! We strongly advise Rocco attends puppy classes through your vet/local dog club which are inexpensive; this will help socialise and train not only the puppy but the owner too! Adoption fee is £200.
