Tom Hardy – Cockerel

Male
Yellow and white
Young adult
Arrived 9th August, 2019
Fostered in Macclesfield

Tom Hardy is handsome, struts his stuff well and likes the girls!

He is a beautiful white cockerel with yellow top feathers (photos don’t quite show how yellow) who was abandoned on someone’s land. We finally managed to catch him after much time spent running around like headless chickens ourselves!

He is a juvenile bird we think, in fact he hasn’t had much handling as he is a bit scared. We think he’s a White Leghorn. He is housed separately from the fosterer’s hens but, of course he so wants to mingle!

He needs to go to a home where there are chickens and where there is a secure coop/set up where he can be put away into at night to keep him safe from predators. Cockerels are lovely to have, they have so many qualities and serve an important role, it’s such a shame that most are unwanted.

All we ask for is a donation, not an adoption fee.
