Emily – Staffy Cross

Staffy cross
Female

Emily is such a pretty girl, very friendly but is anxious…underneath the scars both mentally and physically she is such a lovely dog but it’s no wonder she has an anxious disposition currently as she’s come from a very bad home. The scars on her head were caused by her owner hitting her using a metal bar with screws sticking out of the end of it. Wounds were left untreated until a neighbour took her to the vet out of concern and the RSPCA was informed. Despite the obvious wounds she has the most gorgeous face and the most telling soulful eyes.

Before reading the following information please bear in mind that this is based on her behaviour in a stressful kennel environment, it’s likely she’ll be so much better in a home. She will need an owner who is happy and able to give her the basic training she needs to help her settle in a new home, focus on people and develop some self control-she’s very boisterous. She is very food motivated so this will help with training. Emily is strong on lead so again will need an owner capable of handling her-a harness is ideal. Emily may not be well socialised around dogs and can become very frustrated when she sees other dogs, this could be because she’s desperate for interaction. She’d suit a pet free home, a quiet area, she’s lived with children and can go to a home with children aged 10+. If you are interested in Emily please phone or visit the centre. https://chesterfield-rspca.org.uk/contact/
