Matt – Guinea Pig

Guinea Pig
1 year Approx
Arrived 30th September
Fostered in Congleton

Matt was originally part of a cruelty case along with a cat and some fish, all living in filthy conditions. He was Matilda originally, arrived in June, we were advised after him being assessed that he was female, therefore rehomed with a couple of females but unfortunately circumstances transpired that he is in fact male! It goes without saying we were mortified. This can happen especially when male piggies haven’t ‘dropped’. He has come back into our care and will be neutered shortly. He can then be rehomed with female/s or neutered male/s. As we all know Piggies must never live on their own as they are highly social creatures and dependant on each other. He is nervous but growing in confidence now and squeaks for his food! He’d benefit from a confident pal or few to help him along in the confidence department. He has been health checked by a vet. Set up will ideally be a large C&C, min. 5 x 2 cubes but larger if a group of pigs, or a 5 x 2 ft hutch with an attached run/play area, with plenty of enrichment.
