13 mice were left abandoned in a property, the shower was left on for days and the whole bedsit was wet and steaming, the mice were wet, shivering and hungry, they had no food or water.  The mice were removed by a neighbour out of great concern but the owner took them back before finally leaving the property and abandoning them so the RSPCA were contacted. A few months back one of our volunteers had provided the owner with a larger cage and gave advice on how to better their environment some months back. We just cannot believe he did not ask for help instead he left the mice to suffer and potentially die. Some had injuries and abscesses and received treatment. Some had to be separated and rebonded for this reason. Sadly some have since died through tragic circumstance so we have 8 left in the following groups for rehoming who are all healthy and not at all nippy and easy to handle albeit fast!

A photo of a cage shows what we are looking for although Mice need deep base bedding to burrow and dig. Information on mice and their needs in all respects can be found here: https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/rodents/mice
