Monty – Rabbit

Age: 12 mnths approx
Location: Private Boarding facility, Cheshire

Monty came into our care with Wilf (Also for adoption) after their owners contacted us to say that Wilf had become injured and that they could not afford the veterinary treatment. This is not acceptable, and is infact breaking the law not to seek treatment from a vet. After speaking to the owner, and also someone else reporting that these buns were being offered free over the internet (complete with photo of bloodied injuries) it was apparent that they needed our help. On arrival, Monty cried when approached by humans. However, he is making fantastic progress in a short space of time. He is still scared, but he is coming on leaps and bounds and will make someone a lovely pet.
He is just realising that he is safe and that never again will his paws set foot in a 1ft square ‘hutch’, let alone spend the rest of his days in it. He is now neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is looking for a home with a spayed female. We offer a bonding service.
Minimum housing requirements are 6x2ft hutch and a 6x4ft run.

RSPCA Log Number: PR48 15/3/14
