Rocky – Staffordshire Bull Terrier

5 years old
Arrived 2nd October
Chesterfield RSPCA Animal Centre

As Rocky Balboa once said “Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth!” That is just what Rocky will do…find a loving home worthy of him!

Rocky has come into our care as his owner was working long hours and he was left alone for long periods; with a chronic ear infection that was left untreated for a long time. Neighbours reported the Rocky as crying in distress so contacted the RSPCA for help.

Rocky is such a friendly boy and always pleased to see people. He loves being with you and really does enjoy human company. He is quite giddy and boisterous, but he does love his food and treats so this will help in this area, he’s obviously so happy now he can’t contain himself! We have also found Rocky to mix well with other dogs, so there is a good possibility he could be rehomed with another dog. Cats would need further observations at this stage. At this stage we have placed him with children 13 + We feel he will make a wonderful companion once settled in a new home.

Rocky is doing well and his ears are improving on treatment, moving forward he will need a home where his ears can be closely monitored and the situation managed appropriately in terms of cleaning technique and how to make him feel most comfortable when this is being done etc. We will be carrying out an allergy test to see is this is the cause of the problem. He is fully vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped. If you are interested in Rocky please telephone the animal centre on 01246 273358.
