Smokey – Staffordshire Bull Terrier

2 years old
Arrived 25th April
Chesterfield RSPCA Animal Centre

Update July, Smokey is now in a foster home in Macclesfield.

Smokey is a very affectionate boy who dearly loves to be with people. He is very friendly and playful and loves to play with his toys. He can be strong on the lead and will jump up when anxious and excited for reassurance. He does know some basic commands and will sit for treats and toys. Smokey is a super friendly dog however he isn’t comfortable around other dogs and will need careful management in this area. His owner contacted us because after many years of living in harmony with the other dog they took a dislike to each other and had to be kept seperate, Smokey spend much of his time outside alone as the elderly dog had to take priority, then the day of the sign over the husband unexpectedly died.  Very sad situation indeed and we hope Smokey is adopted soon as he is not coping well with kennel life. A home in a quiet location would be perfecct, with a big secure garden to run and play and just be happy! Please contact the Animal Centre for further advice and information about Smokey’s rehoming requirements.
