** REHOMED **
Arrived 31st Jan
Location Chesterfield Animal Centre
Tilly is a dog that once she knows you is very friendly and adores attention (she absolutely loves her main carer at the Animal Centre and doesn’t want to stray far from her side!). She’s really made good progress since we moved her into the quiet room near our offices. When she first arrived with us she was a nervous wreck with her tail between her legs and sad eyes but now she’ll come over for a tasty treat and is much more interested in what is going on around her. She does, however, take time to trust new people and become confident around them. She can be very scared around strangers and try to hide herself away. She would therefore benefit from a quiet adult-only home with a patient, caring owner who can give her time to settle in at her own pace. When’s she’s relaxed, she loves to play, especially with squeaky toys – she also enjoys chasing toys but isn’t so good at bringing them back! At the Centre we have found her to very timid around other dogs but it was reported that she was not good with the other dogs in her previous home – we have therefore placed her to go as an only dog. We have no history of how she is around cats. Tilly came into RSPCA care via Inspectors but not as a cruelty case, we’re not sure how she was treated before she came to us but her distrust of people says a lot. Tilly is already neutered, we have microchipped and vaccinated her. It’s now time for her to start a great new life with someone new!
