The Minute Secretary will help out once a month to take the minutes of monthly committee meetings. You must be available in the evening for a few hours on every 3rd Thursday of the month.

AREA FUNDRAISING COORDINATORS – Following towns and surrounding areas- (Congleton, Macclesfield, Sandbach, Wilmslow, Buxton)
If you live in/around one of the following towns and would like to work with your local RSCPA volunteers working in your local area, this role may be for you. You will help us by looking at new ways to raise our profile and help with fundraising. Your will be ably supported by the Branch Fundraising Coordinator and our Flag Day Secretary to link into any local events in your area which you feel relevant.

To welcome new volunteers to the branch to keep an up to date list of volunteering opportunities within the branch to work with the other committee members to arrange the recruitment and placement of volunteers to match what volunteers would like to do to help the branch with the branch’s need for volunteer help.

As a Trustee you will be part of a team that is legally responsible for the effective use of the branch’s resources in accordance with the objects of the National RSPCA and for providing leadership and direction in the planning and decision making process that controls all the affairs of the branch. To provide a suitable, calm and loving home environment (ideally with no existing pets) on a temporary basis for our branch animals until they are adopted; (Further details will be given)

To liaise with the National Society department on all branch and national campaigns. To ensure the branch has a sufficient supply of materials for branch and national campaigns. To link where appropriate to the National society’s timetable of campaign events. Linking and coordinating the RSPCA volunteers on campaigns using media, posters, leaflets, and local events.

Our Branch is embarking on a large scale project with neighbouring RSPCA Altrincham Branch to open up our 1st (partnership) charity shop. With such ambitious plans we are seeking to fill vacancies on the Shadow Board and would especially like to hear from people with a keen interest in and relevant skills / experience of charity retail. The Shadow Board currently has a membership of 4 Trustees (one from Macclesfield, 3 from Altrincham) but we’d like to increase this to 7 by adding to the number of representatives from the Macclesfield branch.

To serve on the committee as the branch contact and representative on the regional board. In addition to the key activities involved in being a committee member, the new incumbent will be required to attend all regional board meetings (currently 3 per year: March, June & September) at which they must have the confidence to convey branch views / opinion (which they have canvassed in advance of the meeting) and vote in the best interests of the branch with regard to the region as a whole.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our branch. No particular skills are required and you will be fully supported. If you wish to help us Fundraise at our events you will be given our support and training if you feel do you wish to help. Our volunteers can commit as much or as little time as you can spare.
